About me
I am a software engineer with a strong focus on computer science and research. I take ambiguous and complex problems, clarify them, and develop elegant solutions.
I currently work primarily in Rust, though I have experience with a variety of languages. I've worked in a wide range of contexts, including backend and frontend development and data science.
I am a part-time graduate student at Johns Hopkins University in Computer Science, and I lead a local Rust meetup group.
Reasons to connect
You'd like to mentor me
I appreciate mentorship in all forms; I often find one-off, occasional, and informal mentorship invaluable. I'm working on:
- better understanding the technology industry: the big problems people are tackling, where the industry is going, challenges of working in the industry, etc.
- learning and using best-practice patterns and technology
- becoming a better software engineer, computer scientist, team member, and leader
If you're working on the same things or would like to share your insight, let's connect.
You'd like me to mentor you or share my experiences
I may be able to offer some unique insight if, in particular, you are:
- Considering or going through a major career transition, including changing industries
- Entering the tech industry and aren't sure where you might fit in
You'd like to collaborate on research
I'm open to collaborating on research where I think I can add value with my skills, resources, and interests (given I have the capacity to take on more work). Reach out if you'd like to discuss collaborating.
How to reach me
The best way to reach me is via LinkedIn. Just message me; I don't typically LinkedIn-connect with people with whom I haven't interacted.
